Farmers Faire Understaddle Festival Guide (2026)

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Understaddle Banner Welcome to our Quest Guide for the Farmers Faire Understaddle hub in the Lord of the Rings Online! This guide contains a comprehensive walkthrough of every Farmers Faire quest found at the Understaddle caves! For quests that start at a different festival location, check out our guides to the Party Tree, Bywater, and the far-flung festival grounds of Eriador.

Understaddle Overview

The shrews have declared war on Staddle and its harvest, but the watchers are not allowed to intervene. It’s up to whatever brave adventurers dare to face the menacing rodents to undo their mischief.

A Few Important Tips

Before getting too carried away:

  • The Daily Wrapper: With a daily requirement of 10 quests, the wrapper is the first thing you’ll want to pick up to make sure you get credit for every one!

  • The Staddle Wrapper: The Understaddle quests have their own wrapper for daily completion, available from Constable Tanglerush. Don’t miss out on the extra tokens – pick it up first!
  • ALL the Rewards: Rewards for the Farmers Faire are split between more barterers than other festivals. Make sure to talk to everyone, including the barterers at the festival ponds, to get the full list of potential rewards to work towards.

Understaddle Quest Walkthroughs

Staddle Besieged

NPC: Constable Tanglerush Location: Staddle

Pest control isn’t the watchers’ problem, so how about you make it yours?

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Staddle Besieged quest

Constable Tanglerush is by a banner in the town center of Staddle at (31.1S, 49.5W).

This quest requires all the Understaddle quests to be done in order to complete it, so it’s important to remember to pick it up before doing any turn-ins for the day.

Shooing Shrews

NPC: Nila Brambleberry Location: Staddle

Of course the shrews must be dealt with, but not *too* harshly….

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Shooing Shrews quest

Nila Brambleberry is at the entrance to the Understaddle at (31.8S, 48.8W).

Shooable shrews are all over the Understaddle, as are thier nests. A simple right-click interact should take care of either.

Saving the Apples

NPC: Habbo Greenwort Location: Staddle

And here one might have thought he was just sold out after a visit from that one customer in Bywater.

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Saving the Apples quest

Habbo Greenwort is lamenting his empty apple stall, just in front of Constable Tanglerush at (31.1S, 49.5W).

His apples will be scattered around the shrew burrow. There are red, green, and golden apples to pick up, in no particular amount or order.

Rescuing the Vegetables

NPC: Corbo Tunnelly Location: Staddle

A hero to vegetables is a hero to Hobbits, as well.

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Rescuing the Vegetables quest

Corbo Tunnelly is fussing over his empty produce stand just in front of Constable Tanglerush at (31.1S, 49.4W).

His produce is scattered around the shrew burrow. There are potatoes, beets, cabbage, and onions to pick up, in no particular amount or order.

Lost Hobbits

NPC: Camellia Buttonbloom Location: Staddle

Not one of these hobbits looks dressed and ready for pest control. Just what were they hoping to accomplish down there?

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Lost Hobbits quest

Camellia Buttonbloom is at the entrance to the Understaddle at (31.8S, 48.8W).

Lost Hobbits will be found scattered all through the Understaddle. Right-clicking them will give them directions to the entrance, received with varying degrees of gratitude.

Vanished Valuables

NPC: Fredegunda Cutt Location: Staddle

Someone should tell these burglars about the Mathom Swap over in Bywater. I want to see a shrew learn to snorkle.

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Vanished Valuables quest

Fredegunda Cutt is at (31.2S, 49.3W).

The missing valuables will indeed be found on the ground inside the Understaddle.

Ponto Underhill is to the east of Staddle at the farm plots at (31.0S, 48.7W).

Ferumbras Attereeve is under the purple awning in the eastern part of Staddle, at (31.0S, 49.3W).

Pell Stoneleaf in in the Staddle Weapon and Armor Shop at (31.0S, 49.5W).

Ferdibrand Took is outside his hobbit hole, just behind Constable Tanglerush at (31.3S, 49.6W).

Ethelinda Burr and Sarabeth Lowbanks are both on the raised central gazebo platform in the middle of Staddle at (31.1S, 49.4W).

Kick Out the Cave Claws

NPC: Maginard Foxbolt Location: Staddle

Just give them the boot again. I’m sure it’ll take this time!

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Kicking Cave Claws quest

Maginard Foxbolt is smoking by a fence in the eastern part of Staddle at (31.1S, 49.3W).

The crate of boots is northwest of Maginard, between the purple awning and workbench. Interacting with the crate will reward you with the boots as an item, which you can use from your quickslot bar, if you drag them over a spare slot and drop them in.

After kicking the cave claws, their burrow below them will become interactable, allowing you to loot one of a vast number of possible treasures, including consumable items, cosmetics, clothing dyes, festival tokens or other barter currency, or cosmetic pets. Some of these are quite rare, though. It is possible to “farm” these drops by canceling the quest after 5 boot-and-loots, waiting out the five-minute timer, and reaccepting the quest from Maginard.

This quest is the only one of the bunch that will auto-complete once you have kicked enough cave claws.
