LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Guide (2026)

LOTRO Farmers Faire Festival Bywater Market Banner Welcome to our Farmers Faire Festival Guide (2026) for The Lord of the Rings Online. It’s time to squeeze out that last bit of summer, with sun hats, picnic baskets, fishing poles, and market totes in tow. Join the Hobbits at their farmers’ market in Bywater or for a lazy picnic under the Party Tree, or cast your line for some rare fish at the festival ponds. There’s kite-flying, apple-bobbing, races, and of course the usual array of festival staff and patrons who need *your* help to keep it all running smoothly.

The 2026 Farmers Faire began August 13th, 2026 and runs through September 8th, 2026.

Getting Started with Farmers Faire

To join in the festival, head to the Shire! The Party Tree and the Green Dragon Inn in Bywater both have quests, though the wrapper is located at the Party Tree.

Here is a rundown on how to reach all Farmers’ Faire Festival locations:

  • To the Party Tree: Buy a ride from any far-ranging stablemaster, or use the map you receive from the “The Farmers Faire has Arrived!” quest.

  • To the Green Dragon Inn: While there is no stable in Bywater, it is just east of Hobbiton, in the middle of the Shire.

  • The Understaddle: Located in Bree-land, just east of Bree town at (31.7S, 48.8W), the Understaddle is a newer addition to the Farmers’ Faire Festival as of 2025.

Important Activities

As with all LOTRO festivals, the Farmers Faire offers many options for activities, but there are a few important things of note!

Wrapper Quests

Once you arrive at your preferred festival grounds, you’ll want to be sure to pick up the “wrapper” quests.

As with all LotRO Festivals, there is a set of wrapper quests to encourage daily play. The Farmers Faire wrapper has three tiers of four days each, requiring 12 total turn-ins of the daily wrapper to reap the full virtue experience and Farmers Faire token reward.

Pick up these wrapper quests from Campanula Chubb at the Party Tree to get started.

Farmers Faire Festival Deeds

The Farmers Faire festival has several deeds that serve as great goals along your journey, offering titles, extra Farmers Faire Tokens, and even special cosmetics for completion. The festival deeds typically involve completing specific quest clusters or participating over multiple days. Below is a full list of Farmers Faire Festival deeds available in 2026.

LOTRO Farmers Faire festival deeds
  • A Lucky Day at the Races: This deed relates to the “Keg-hopping Race” and “The Taste of Hobbiton” race quests. To complete it, you must bet and win once on each of the four possible contestants in each race.

  • At the Farmers Faire: This deed requires you to complete the introduction quest for the Farmers Faire as well as complete a few of its iconic quests three times.

  • Celebrating Sunshine: This deed tells you to Go Fish, among other things. Note that the fishing quests have to be unlocked via the Stocking the Pond quest chain.
  • Challenge: The Whole Picnic : You’ll encounter these deeds if you do the festival instance “The Perfect Picnic” in a group on Tier II. It requires your party to defend the picnic food without losing any to the bugs or the rain.

  • Egg Scramble Victories: These deeds are for winning Farmer Sandson’s Egg Scramble, a periodic minigame at Sandson’s Farm, which you can read more about here.

  • Egg Scramble: Collect _______ Eggs: These deeds are for collecting sets of rarer, decorated eggs from Farmer Sandson’s Egg Scramble. You do not have to consume the egg for it to count, and these eggs can be traded or sold to other players.

  • Fine Faire Fishing: This deed requires you to complete some of the various fishing quests available at the pond in Bywater.

  • Fortunate Festival Fishes: This deed rewards a title for catching some of the less common barter fish from the festival ponds around Eriador.
  • Full of Farmers Faire: This meta-deed rewards completion of a few other deeds around the faire. It requires multiple days (or Mithril coin resets) to complete, so keep it in mind early if you want it done before the festival ends!
  • Helping Hand: This deed requires you to help with Restocking the Market, from every supplier possible. Doing the quest for each different supplier requires waiting for a daily reset, so get started early if you want to have it done by festival’s end!
  • Maggot’s Mushrooms Victories: This deed is for winning Maggot’s Mushrooms minigame, which you can read more about here.
  • Much Drinking, Much Running: This deed requires betting on and winning twice with each available contestant in the Thorin’s Hall “Keg-hopping Race”.
  • Much Eating, Much Running: This deed requires betting on and winning twice with each available contestant in “The Taste of Hobbiton Race”.
  • Too Much of Everything: This deed rewards spending lots of festival time betting on the constitutions of random Hobbits and Dwarves, or at least enough to complete both Much Drinking, Much Running and Much Eating, Much Running.
  • The Perfect Picnic: This deed requires defeating all of the possible random encounter spawns during “The Perfect Picnic” festival instance.
  • Inn League & Ale Association Trials: While not exclusive to Farmers Faire, the festival does activate the rival faction delivery runs and initiation quests, allowing you to progress their respective seasonal deeds.

Essential Farmers Faire Festival Tips & Tricks

The Farmers Faire is a sprawling festival, with quests in a few different small hubs. While some you can easily get to overland, some are much faster with Stable-master or horse travel, and the Hobbiton and Keg-hopping racetracks aren’t reachable without the event horses. Take note of where all the introduction takes you, and look for helpful shortcut horses scattered around to cut down on travel time!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to the Farmers Faire for the first time?

When you log in during the festival, an auto-bestowed quest (“The Farmers Faire Has Arrived!”) will pop up on your screen. Accepting and completing it gives you a map item that teleports you directly to the festival hub in Bywater. If you deleted the map on accident or cancelled that quest, you may also travel there from any far-ranging Stable-master throughout LOTRO’s world.

What level do I need to be to join the Farmers Faire festival?

Any level! The Farmers Faire Festival scales, meaning characters of any level (even level 10) can head to the Shire and complete the quests without encountering dangerous, over-leveled enemies.

Why do some quests and old Farmers Faire rewards have 'summer' in the name?

Farmers Faire as it is today includes the original Farmers Faire festival as well as the old Summer Festival that was replaced in the yearly cycle by Midsummer when it debuted in 2020.
