The Brawler must be purchased from the LOTRO Store for 1000 LOTRO Points or it comes with the Fate of Gundabad expansion pack. Inspired by Helm Hammerhand, Brawlers are fierce melee combatants who forego traditional weaponry to take on battle with their bare fists. They utilize a unique resource called Mettle, building it up with basic punches and spending it to unleash brutal, high-impact finishing strikes, whether they are maximizing damage as a DPS or holding the front line as a formidable tank.
Players should choose the Brawler if they love fast-paced, visceral, and highly aggressive combat. The class offers a very satisfying, rhythmic playstyle with fantastic sound design that makes every punch feel impactful. Brawlers also bring excellent group utility through innate buffs and crowd control, making them a sturdy and highly active addition to any Fellowship.
When it comes to armaments, Brawlers rely exclusively on Battle-gauntlets as their weapons, which come in various designs to help them smash through enemy defenses. Paired with Heavy Armour, they are incredibly durable, comfortably wading into the thick of melee combat and surviving blows that would fell lesser fighters.
